Accessibility statement

This website is designed to meet the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and the harmonised standard EN 301 549. The technical benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA. We accept feedback on barriers through the contact details named in the imprint.

Scope

This statement applies to the web offer at wohngeld-frankfurt.de including all language versions. It describes the position as of August 2026.

State of conformity

The offer is compatible with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA. In particular the following are implemented:

  • Semantic headings, lists, tables and landmarks
  • Keyboard operation of all controls including navigation and accordion
  • Visible focus, skip links and a minimum button size of 44 pixels
  • Contrast of text to background of at least 4.5:1, large type at least 3:1
  • Language in the HTML attribute, language switching with language names instead of flags
  • Alternative texts or empty alternative texts for decorative graphics
  • Enlargement to 200 per cent without loss of essential content
  • Consideration of prefers-reduced-motion
  • Right-to-left display for Arabic

Content that is not accessible

At present no material restrictions are known. Should embedded files or content added later affect conformity, they will be named in this statement.

Preparation of this statement

The statement was prepared in August 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment (examination of the templates, the contrasts, keyboard operation and semantics). It is updated when the offer changes materially.
